Inter-class Football Tournament

 17 ^th - 26 ^th July, 2023  - Football Ground

The Inter-class Football Tournament was held for the students of JD, on the Papal Football Ground from 17 th - 26 th July, 2023. A total of 7 classes participated in this tournament. These teams were divided into pools respectively. Prof. Francis Gonsalves, the JD President, and Fr. John Karuvelil, the dean of JD, attended as the main guests on this particular occasion. The following few days were filled with a lot of sporting activity. Seven teams competed against one another to win the coveted cup. Even the spectators were enthusiastic about this sporting event. On July 26, there was a closing ceremony. Fr. Bhausaheb, the Rector of the Papal Seminary, was the chief guest. The teams that reached the finals were SYBTH and TYBPH in which the SYBTH emerged victorious with two goals in the second half of the match. They were the crowned Champions of this tournament.

Inter-Class Basketball Tournament

 01 – 07 February 2024 - P.G. block Basketball Court

The Inter–Class Basketball Tournament was held at the P.G. block Basketball Court from 01 – 07 February 2024 for the students of JD. A total of 6 teams participated in this tournament. These teams were divided into two pools respectively. Fr. Ian Doulton, the Rector of Don Bosco Youth Center, Koregaon Park was the chief guest on this occasion. The next few days witnessed a lot of sporting action, zest, and enthusiasm. 6 teams vied with each other to clinch the coveted cup. Spectators too were enthused with this sporting event. The closing ceremony was held on 07 February. Our chief guest was Fr. Walter D’Souza, an alma mater of JD, belonging to the archdiocese of Bombay. The teams that reached the finals were FYBTH and SYBTH in which the SYBTH emerged victorious with a basket scored in the last few seconds and won with two points. They were the crowned champions of this tournament.
