Football Tournament

The Cultural Wing along with the Student Council members organized the Inter-Class Football Tournament from August 5 - 9, 2024, on the theme "Rise as One: Strength is Unity,". A total of seven classes participated and the 3rd year B.Th. secured a victory.

JD Day 2024

The annual day celebration 2024, of Jnana Deepa Institute of Philosophy and Theology was held on Friday, November 15, 2024. The theme for the celebration this year was ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. The day began with a solemn Holy Mass at 08.30 am which was celebrated in the Syro Malabar rite. The mass was well organized by the superiors and brothers of Carmel Vidya Bhavan, the CMI community residence. Fr. Arun Chully CMI, the Director of Christ College, Pune, presided over the mass as the main celebrant, while Fr. James Thayil CMI, Rector of Carmel Vidya Bhavan, broke the word of God meaningfully focusing on the theme.

The second part of the celebration continued in the evening in the form of a cultural programme. The presence of Dr Manoj Durairaj, a prominent heart transplant surgeon from Pune, as the chief guest added beauty to the programme. The programme began with the grand entry of the chief guest and other dignitaries with musical instruments of Indian cultures. This was followed by a prayer dance by the JD sisters. Thereafter, the students of JD came up with spectacular performances such as drama, mime, choreography, street play and fusion dance.
